Second Quarter: We will continue reading and writing nonfiction. This quarter, we will also be learning how to cite using MLA, writing paragraphs using TEPAC and writing in text citations. Although we will not be writing a full research paper, we will be writing an introduction paragraph, writing claims with text support and making counter claims with text support.
Third Quarter: We will be reading The Hunger Games. Objectives include, but are not limited to:
1. Personally connect to text. Which character do you most connect to and why. Use text evidence to support your answers

4. Write a narrative essay.
5. Utilize context to define meaning of unfamiliar terms.
