5. NO PHONES, MUSIC OR COMPUTER GAMING ALLOWED!!!
Consequences:
-Natural consequences- ex. apologize, you mess it up, you clean it up, etc
-Teacher/ Student conference
-Teacher/ Student/ Parent conference: phone calls home or meeting with parent
-Office referral : this may result in detention, extended school day, Friday night school, ISS, OSS, etc.
-Phones: If there are times when you really need to use your phone, please ask! Also, please encourage your parents to contact the office if they need to get ahold of you or wait to text during lunch or after school.
-When you come into the class, put your phone in the box BEFORE the final bell. It needs to stay in the box for the entire hour.
-Inappropriate computer usage: Warning, loss of computer usage for day, loss of computer usage for week and loss of computer usage until further notice!
Classroom procedures:
-10/10 Rule: You may not leave the classroom during the first 10 or last 10 minutes of the period.
-Restroom: Please try to use during passing periods. If it is an emergency, you will be able to sign out, on line, and go. Please use the closest restroom, and keep usage to under 5 minute.
-Drinks: If you need water during class, please bring a clear water bottle.
-Except for special occasions, students will not be sent to the Corner Cafe. At times, however, we will have class in the cafe, and students can earn incentives to the cafe.
-Paper and pencil/ pens: Please bring all supplies to class. If you are in need of supplies, just get them and complete assignments as needed. Please do not just sit because you don’t have any materials!!!!
-Late work: Work should be turned in on the due date. If there is a reason that it can not be turned in, please let me know! If assignments are late, partial credit may be given.
-“Extended Time” applies to in class assignments and tests only. Long term projects should be turned in on the due date.
-Absences: PLEASE try to attend school if at all possible. The majority of our work is done in class and there’s no way to make up classroom discussions. When absent, you are responsible for completing all missed work.
-Your grades will be made up of a combination of classroom assignments, homework, tests, project, participation and behavior. (Incentives will also be provided for behavior points!)
Grading Scale:
A= 92.5-100 C= 72.5-76.4 F= 0-59.4
A-= 89.5-92.4 C-= 69.5-72.4
B+= 86.5-89.4 D+= 66.5-69.4
B= 82.5-86.4 D= 62.5-66.4
B-= 79.5-82.4 D-= 59.5-62.4
Flex Seating Rules:
Choose a spot that works best for you.
Use the seat in the right way.
If you sit/ stand by a friend, you must work quietly.
No fighting over seats. WORK IT OUT!!
Flexible seating is a privilege. The teacher can move any student at any time.
